Prep News
From Caroline, Prep teacher
OLA (Other Learning Areas)
For OLA we have begun by learning about the body. We were amazed across the cohort by the level of anatomical and biological detail and description our preps were able to provide.
One of our wonderful Preps very descriptively explained our body without bones would be like a “sack of meat!”, and then, that our intestines absorb all the nutrients in our food and put it into our blood. It is great to see so many curious minds with this keen interest in not just anatomy but biology, too.
Visualising has been the focus of literacy this week. This week students wrote and drew about what they visualised as they listened to the sounds of a rainforest with their eyes closed. The prep teachers were amazed by the creativity and detail that preps used to show us the picture that they had created in their minds.
Well done on a productive, exciting and engaging first week back, Preps.
