Anzac Biscuits

 

Year 6 are back into the kitchen. Displaying respect for those who fought in Wars for us we made ANZAC biscuits served with a raspberry chia jam. Students worked well in their four cooking teams to prepare delicious biscuits that were enjoyed by all, with the sweet jam on the side.

 

 

Pasties

Students prepared their own pastry and utilised some beautiful vegetables grown in our own school garden Purple striped eggplant (known as Graffiti or Sicilian eggplant), spinach and silver beet, spring onions and potatoes were sliced, diced and combined with garden herbs to form a filling for their pastry pasties. These were served with a homemade tomato jam. Wonderful skills and teamwork in the kitchen.
