Cross Country
Last week the Junior and Secondary Cross Country Carnivals were held. While the Sports Department is still crunching the House numbers the age champions and runner up positions are below.
We would like to extend a big thank you to all the staff and parents who supported our students during the recent school Cross Country. This year's event was particularly challenging due to the muddy conditions of the track and a need for last minute change to the course. However, our students persevered and demonstrated resilience in completing the course.
The event was a great opportunity for our students to test their physical abilities and showcase their skills. Our Junior School Parents were also present to cheer on their students, which added to the festive atmosphere of the day. We are grateful for their support, which undoubtedly motivated our students to push themselves to their limits.
The HRIS Cross Country event will take place next term. Emails containing further information will be sent out to parents shortly.
Once again, we thank our staff for their tireless efforts in organising this year's event and our Junior School Parents for their enthusiastic support. It was a memorable day for everyone involved, and we look forward to the upcoming HRIS cross country event.

The Calrossy Secondary AICES Swimming team delivered a commendable performance recently, marked by noteworthy achievements and outstanding individual efforts. Notably, the relay team comprising Lucy Bomford, Caitlin Grobler, Megan Carr, and Ruby Irwin showcased a remarkable improvement in their HRIS timings in the 200m Freestyle and 200 Medley Relays, despite finishing outside the top spots.
Additionally, Chelsea Smith exhibited an exceptional performance, securing the first position in the 50m Backstroke, second place in the 50m Butterfly, and the third position in the 200IM.
We extend our congratulations to all the members of the team for their outstanding achievements and wish those moving on to CIS all the best.
