Welcome to Term 2 everyone. We hope you all had a relaxing term break. We have lots on for Term 2 and we can't wait to get into it all.
Please be sure to read the Principals Report in the newsletter, as Jess speaks about some upcoming changes to our whole school newsletter.
Our 4 YO groups will be beginning library visits to the school library each week. Please note they will not go next week due to the Library being set up for the Mothers Day stall. From the following week, Lasiandra will attend on Tuesdays at 11.30am and Waratah will attend on Thursdays at 11.15am. PLease sned the children with a bag so they can borrow a book and return it each week.
The 4 YO's also have the local Librarian coming to visit later this term. There will be more information about this closer to the time.
One of our very talented parents at the kindergarten has published her own books! Kirsten is passionate about children learning and loving to read. She has created these books these beautiful books in both English and Mandarin and they are perfect for sharing with your child. We encourage all our families to read to their children and this is a great way for families who speak Mandarin or English or both to enjoy reading together at home.
We have purchased copies of these books to use here at kinder and also a set for families to access in our Parent Library (in the foyer).

We are excited for you all to meet a new staff member next week. Canice will be joining our 3 YO Banksia Group as the Co-Educator, starting on Monday 8th May. Please make her feel welcome and introducve yourself if you see her around.
Canice will be a great addition to our team and we are all looking forward to working with her. We are sure all the children will enjoy getting to know her too.
