Around Our School

Year 12 Final Day

On Wednesday 24 October, our class of 2018 completed their final day at Frankston High School.  The students who had attended Frankston High School since Year 7 received their time capsules, with many memories inside.

The Year 12 students then had the opportunity to dress up.  A BBQ was prepared by the Year 11 SLC students and served to all Year 12 students.  The School Captains supported by the Year 12 SLC team, distributed fun awards.  The morning culminated with all students receiving a delicious and personalised cupcake.

These cupcakes were kindly made by the Year 8 Food Technology classes and their teachers, iced by Ms Lauren Ashton and Ms Eliza Pelham and then toppers carefully placed on by the Year 11 SLC team.

Overall it was a wonderful celebration. Thank you to everyone involved who made it a day to remember.

Fundraising

In developing countries, for many girls, their monthly cycle affects their education and life completely.  Sanitary items are expensive.  Most families can’t afford to send their children to school for $20, let alone buying $24 worth of sanitary products a year.  A group of students from the L.E.A.D class have decided to hand make and sell red scrunchies for $5 each with all profits going straight to helping these young girls.

These scrunchies will be sold every Friday lunchtime in the canteen annex.  Help us educate these young girls and help them with providing them with the resources they need.

We have also l created a go fund me page with the link here https://www.gofundme.com/fundisa-scrunchies-fundraiser
