Student Representative Council

Do It for Dolly Day is a day dedicated to bringing the community together, spreading kindness and uniting in helping break the silence around bullying.

Every year in May we see thousands of our wonderful communities come together to remember Dolly, participate in fundraising activities to help support the important anti-bullying work to share the Dolly’s Dream message to be kind and speak even if your voice shakes.

Boorowa Central School Student Representative Council invite students, staff, and community members to help support Dolly’s Dream.

Students will participate in various activities in Weeks 3 and 4 which include:

  • Tuesday 9 May – introduction to ‘Do it for Dolly Day’ at assembly.
  • Wednesday 10 May – play Tom Curtain and Sara Storer’s ‘Speak up’ song for the remainder of Week 3 and Week 4.
  • Monday 15 May – selling blue cupcakes (Dolly’s favourite colour).
  • Monday 15 May – Paint a branch blue at lunchtime.
  • Tuesday 16 May- hang blue butterflies with words of kindness on the branch at lunchtime.
