In the last week of Term 1 Gianna (5E) Macey (4E) Paige (5A) and Lucy (4B) represented both Hillsmeade and the Casey Division at the Regional Swimming Competition in Rosebud as part of a relay team.

The girls were selected for this competition after their success at the District and Divisional swimming competitions.

This was an amazing achievement for these students as they demonstrated their ability to compete at a high level against many other students from schools within the City of Casey Region.

In the first three weeks of term two, our Year 6 students competed in an interschool sports competition against Courtenay Gardens Primary School, Tulliallan Primary School and Lyndhurst Primary School.

Hillsmeade hosted the event with students competing in netball, soccer, badminton, T-ball and cricket. The competition was a huge success with all schools demonstrating excellent sportsmanship and respect for their opponents.

On Wednesday of week two of this term the Hillsmeade cross country squad competed in the Narre Warren South cross country event at Akoonah Park in Berwick.

The students battled the cold wind and rain as they raced students from seven other schools. The students that placed in their races and will represent the Narre Warren South District at the Divisional Cross Country are:
