| Reading | Week 4 & 5 - We will be exploring a range of texts that include sounds and heart words as part of our Little Learners Love Literacy program. Students will participate in a range of reading activities that will support them in developing their phonological awareness. |
| Writing | Week 4 & 5- Students will explore procedural writing and complete an activity to support them to re-tell and write the steps involved in the task. Students will then begin a unit of work on narrative writing. |
| Maths | Week 4 and 5 - Students will be exploring commutative law and doubles for a week. They will then complete a unit about location. |
| Inquiry | Week 4 & 5 - Students will begin a hands-on project to create their own community using creative materials. |
| SEL | Week 4 & 5 - We will spend 15 minutes each day explore empathy towards others and the difference between a 'big' problem and a 'small' problem. |
News and Reminders:
- Reader satchels need to be brought to school every Monday.
- Please sign your child's reading log (located at the back of their phonics book) every night.
- Remember although your child only comes home with two books they read one each night this will help build their fluency.
- Please remember to return your books on your class's assigned library day.
