OSHC

OSHC looks very different during lockdown periods from having 100+ students to less than 10 students every afternoon is a huge change for all of us at OSHC but that doesn’t stop us from having a good time!!

Lockdown at OSHC

by Samara and Elm in Year 3

“In lockdown OSHC we play lots of fun games, we have been doing indoor learning like chess, Uno, Flip and lots of other activities. We’ve had lots of fun playtime outdoors using the sports equipment.

We have been in the OSHC garden and we have been looking after our plants by watering them. And guess what? Our tomato plants are finally starting to flower. Once lockdown is finished we are hoping to make some more delicious foods with the vegetables and herbs so that we can share them with everybody.

We also have something called OSHC Records, OSHC Records is where you have to do challenges like who can stay on the monkey bars the longest and if you win a challenge your name gets put on the chalk board”.

Gap Fee Waiving

As communicated on Compass, our service will be waiving the gap fee for parents if their children do not attend for COVID related reasons. Waiving the gap fee enables us to claim the Child Care Subsidy portion of an enrolment whilst ensuring you are not charged for the absence. Please note you do not need to do anything; this process will happen automatically.

Wonder Recycling Rewards for Schools

A huge thank you to all of our school community who collected and recycled their bread bags and tags, we have received our ‘recycling points’ and look forward to spending this on sports equipment for our service in the coming weeks.

Quote of the fortnight

“Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass, it’s about learning how to dance in the rain” – Vivian Greene
