From the Principal

Dear Parents and Friends of St Therese's Primary School,

I hope you are all traveling as well as can be expected during these seemingly endless challenges we are facing at the moment. It is really important for our own wellbeing to look for signs of positivity and hope wherever we can find them. That may be in prayer, meditation, music, or nature just to name a few.

It was nice to see the sun out over the weekend. In my garden, I am beginning to see blossoms which make me smile because I know that Spring is on the way! I think at the moment looking for small things to make us smile is so important.

Research tells us that smiling is good for our health in a number of ways.

It can:

  • Reduce stress
  • Lower blood pressure
  • Boost your immune system by reducing cortisol in your body

Look for reasons to smile! Smile for no reason!

Please reach out if you require support in any way during this challenging time.

If your family is experiencing financial stress as a result of the Lockdowns in Term 3, please contact Colleen Johnson via finance@sttcbourne.catholic.edu.au for advice on School Fee relief.

Don't forget that this Friday is Pajama Day. I would love for you to send me photos of your child doing remote learning at home in their PJs on Friday to share in next week's newsletter!

I hope that you all have a good week
