A Snapshot of Remote Learning by Level 4

As part of a Literacy unit of work this term exploring narrative writing, the Year Four students were lucky enough to hear from the author of ‘The Bird the Could Not Fly’,  Mafalda Di Donato. On the 1st of September, all Year Four students participated in an online incursion and were given some tips on how to write an engaging narrative story. ‘The Bird the Could Not Fly’ is a feel good story for all children as it illustrates that anything is possible when you believe in yourself and put in the hard work.

Also this term as part of their Inquiry Unit called ‘Creativity and Curiosity’, the Year 4 students created 3D models of a famous Australian landmark. Students researched their chosen landmark, the state it is found in and then wrote a persuasive text arguing why it is the best state in Australia.

We thank Mrs Edgar, Mr Johnson, Miss Iannelli and Miss Feleppa for creating a wonderful opportunity to talk and interact with a published author and provide hands-on learning for students.
