Keeping our Year 12s on Track

What an outstanding community we have here at MAG. Upon hearing news of NSW going into to a statewide lockdown our school community jumped into action. Emergency meetings were held last Saturday and Sunday and staff worked through the weekend with a large amount of uncertainty as our year 12 HSC students waited to hear the fate of their Trial Exams. It was all hands on deck on Monday as the staff who could be onsite dug in and helped make such a huge last minute change work. All of this effort was driven by our Head of Teaching and Learning, Hayley Catt, who faced the challenge head on and put in an enormous effort to get our students completing their trials. We are now three days in and while there was some initial stress, there were also funny glimpses into the challenges of completing exams online…rogue cats, forgotten microphones and barking dogs. Well done Year 12... you shone bright this week and made everyone proud!

Secondary Production filming!

COVID restrictions may change the way we do things, but that won't dampen our creativity and passion for allowing the students to achieve their best!

How lucky we are to have such talented staff that we can pre-record all vocals for our Secondary production and then perform in-front of a green screen! In post production creative digital sets will be placed behind the performers.

We can't wait to see the finished product!
