NAPLAN

Next week, all our Year 3 and Year 5 students will be participating in NAPLAN. They will take part in the Writing, Reading, Conventions of Language and Numeracy assessments from  Wednesday 15th  March until Friday 17th March. The schedule is as follows:

• Wednesday 15th  March - Writing
• Thursday 16th March - Reading and Conventions of Language
• Friday 17th March - Numeracy

If students are away on any of the testing days, the school can facilitate catch-up sessions the following week. 

All children in Years 3 and 5 will need a fully charged Chromebook and bring in a set of headphones for the testing period. Please ensure that your child has these. 

Cross Country

Last week, some of our students participated in the District Cross Country. 

On Friday the 3rd March, students from the Year 5/6 and the 3/4  communities participated in Cross Country. The event was held at Hansen Reserve. There were four other schools Footscray, Footscray North, Footscray West, and Saint Bernadette's. They were all very competitive. The under-10s had to run two kilometres and the under-12s and 13s had to run three kilometres. The event started at 10 am and ended at 12 pm. There were a total of eight races, everyone was around the gate cheering as loud as they could. Thankfully the weather was perfect. Everyone brought snacks and lollies to power themselves and their friends. Everyone enjoyed their time at Cross Country and tried their best.
