SWPBS PAC Cup

Winners Weeks 1 to 5 2023: Congratulations Warrego House (Bayuna Neighbourhood)

The Positive Acknowledgment Chronicles (PAC Cup) aims to promote House and Neighbourhood connection and pride through acknowledging students who are demonstrating our college values of aspiration, integrity, responsibility and respect throughout the school day. Each PAC Cup cycle runs for five weeks.

Our first focus for 2023 was following teacher instructions. When teachers enter a positive chronicle on Compass for following teacher instructions, a daily tally is calculated for each House and Neighbourhood. The House with the highest number of chronicles for following teacher instructions was Warrego House. There were only 125 chronicles separating Warrego and second place Goulburn House (Dharnya Neighbourhood)!

All Warrego House Students will be invited to a ‘Movie and Popcorn’ session in recognition of their efforts.  For the first time, the PAC Cup final results also included ‘bonus points’. Our College Values Student Leaders organised a ‘Guess the Lollies in the Jar’ Competition and a fun game called ‘ping pong put’ which was open to all students in the college to earn extra points for their house. The bonus round held during week five was widely enjoyed, and will now be a regular element of the PAC Cup Competition. Overall results for the first PAC Cup of 2023 are as follows:

1st: Warrego House : 2437 points

2nd: Goulburn House: 2312 points

SWPBS Matrix: Classroom

A key element of the Schoolwide Positive Behaviour Support Framework is identifying expected behaviours in all college settings so as to ensure a calm and productive school environment. These behaviours are linked to our college values of:

Aspiration: We aspire to excellence in all that we do

Integrity: We act in a way that is honest and trustworthy

Respect:  We show care for ourselves and value difference

Responsibility: We are accountable for our decisions and actions

The matrix also provides teachers and staff with consistent language to use with their classes. The classroom matrix is displayed in all classrooms.
