Term 1 sport at a House level and an SIS level has been on show through some fantastic results. At the beginning of the year it was great to see the whole school involved in the House Aquatics Carnival at Doveton Pool.  Congratulations to the following swimming champions of their year levels:

• Year 7 Jenish Soni DE5 and Aishah Houzaife MO4
• Year 8 Cody Flechsig AQ1 and Nyawicher Machar CO3
• Year 9 Hamish McDonald DE4 and Michaellah Ganiquem-Puspus MO1
• Year 10 Kenneth Fletcher MO5 and Marnath Machar CO5
• Year 11 Joshua Pavloff LE6 and Sarah Van Der Veer CO4
• Year 12 Harrison Ansell AQ5 and Megan Choppy LE4

Most of these students and many others have been training at Oasis Swimming two days a week ready for the Division B SIS Carnival held in Week 2 of Term 2. SIS Weekly sports were played this term and I congratulate all involved in the following sports for their tremendous efforts: Senior Girls Soccer (with Ms Kintzel), Senior Girls Basketball (Ms Wilder and Ms Liu), Senior Boys Soccer (Mr Boswell), Senior Boys Indoor Cricket (Mr Alexander) and the championship team of Intermediate Girls Volleyball and their coach Ms Nguyen.

Students will also be participating in the House Athletics Carnival on Monday at Casey Fields. We look forward to all students cheering on and getting points for their respective Houses.

Things to look forward to in Term 2 include the SIS Division B Swim Carnival, House Cross Country, SIS Cross Country, SIS Weekly Sports including, Junior Boys Soccer, Junior Girls Soccer, Junior Girls Netball, Junior Boys Volleyball, Junior Mixed Table Tennis, Intermediate Boys AFL and Intermediate Boys Volleyball.

Also coming soon is the NEW INTER-HOMEROOM VOLLEYBALL COMPETITION occurring on Tuesday lunchtimes at school. Looking forward to a massive Term 2 of Sport.
