House News-Columba

Hard to believe we are in Week nine of Term 1.  First term is a term of news! New students, new subjects, new teachers and new opportunities to grow as a person. Mr Alexander and I have enjoyed meeting the new Year 7s in Columba, getting to know their personalities and talents. It is great to see them quickly grow in confidence as they make new friends and adjust to the rigours of Secondary School.

Congratulations to the following students who have been chosen as Year Level Student Representative Council members and who will meet at various times throughout the year to discuss important issues. It was good to see these students, with their parents, attended the Leaders seminar and dinner.

Hello Everyone,

It was great to see Columba participating in this year's swimming carnival. We did not achieve what we hoped, however, we know Columba is a resilient House and will strive to retake the podium. We are both very proud of what Columba has already achieved and know there is so much more strength within each and everyone of our students. We, as a House, had an amazing turnout of participation on Harmony Day. We thank everyone for dressing up in cultural dress or orange. It was a spectacle to see. With athletics right upon us, we hope to see our incredible House out in spirit once again, representing us within the school community with courage to reach for the stars. We hope to see everyone proudly cheering us on, as we begin our climb back to the top, the rightful place of Columba. We wish all the other Houses good luck and hope to have friendly competition and encouragement.

Your Columba House Captains,

Soren and Camille
