Ava K. - 00M

This award is presented to Ava for always being kind and showing her HEART values both inside and outside of the classroom. Ava listens to instructions carefully and is a Foundation SUPERSTAR! I look forward to getting to know her better during the term. Well done Ava!!

Avah S. - 1/2B

This award goes to Avah for being a positive member in the class and engaging in all learning tasks. Avah has been very successful in Maths, and has been using her place value knowledge to break two-digit numbers into groups of 10s and 1s. I am impressed with her work ethic and enthusiasm. Great job Avah!

Madelyn B. - 1/2C

This award goes to Madelyn for her positive attitude towards learning. Maddie has been trying her best in class, particularly during Writing. She has been working on a narrative about jungle animals and has used the resources around the room to assist her. Maddie, I love the enthusiasm and the big smile that you bring to the classroom. Keep it up!

Congratulations Violet for creating a wonderfully expressive narrative. It's impressive how well you express yourself both verbally and in writing. Keep up the good work!

Rohith J. - 3/4K

This award goes to Rohith for the way he is applying feedback and taking on ideas in his writing. This week Rohith listened to suggestions and lessons on using dialogue in a narrative. He was able to use dialogue in his story so that it added to it’s meaning and made it entertaining for the reader. He was also able to use punctuation such as talking marks, commas and capitals correctly when writing dialogue. Well done Rohith!

Alyssa S. - 3/4S

This award goes to Alyssa for always trying her best with her learning. Alyssa is asking questions and taking on feedback and suggestions given to her in all areas. She is focused on her work, making sure that everything is completed well. Alyssa, you have made a fantastic start to Grade 3. Well done.

Tyler H. - 5/6B

What a week for Tyler! I’ve been extremely pleased with the work you have done this week Tyler. I know you love a laugh and that is important in our classroom, but working hard is the most important aspect. You have found a balance this week and it shows in the work you’ve produced and the presentation you achieved. I was particularly pleased with your persuasive writing. You’ve almost convinced me that aliens exist! Please keep up the great work.

Congratulations to Elena for her wonderful efforts in class from the very beginning of the year. Elena continually demonstrates the HEART values, is always willing to lend a helping hand, and is never afraid to ask questions. This award goes to Amir for writing an engaging persuasive introduction on the topic of ‘School days are too long and should be shortened!’ . He included a variety of persuasive devices such as a rhetorical question and emotive language. Keep up the wonderful work!

 Jake K.  - Performing Arts

Congratulations Jake. You’ve taken your ukulele skills to the next level. You look very comfortable changing between A minor, G, C and F, which means you can play many songs now. Very well done.

Caughey T. - Mandarin

This award acknowledges Caughey for her participation in Mandarin classes. She enjoys having a go at doing Mandarin song and dance activities. Great start to the year, Caughey!

Eason C. - Physical Education

This award goes to Eason from 3/4B, for the wonderful effort he made in PE this week. Eason demonstrated enthusiasm, positivity and teamwork whilst participating in the tennis insursion class. Keep up the great work Eason!

Ava K. - Visual Arts

This award goes to Ava for her wonderful plasticine self-portrait. Foundation students practised rolling, flattening and sculpting plasticine. Ava completed each part of her portrait with care and even added small pencil pricks for her nostrils after she had designed her nose. What a fabulous idea Ava!
