Parent Payments - THANK YOU

We would like to say a big THANK YOU to everyone who has already contributed to this years school fees and curriculum contributions. We hope you are all finding the process of paying online via Compass to be more straight forward and easier to manage than coming in to pay etc. We thank you all for your patience while we have tried to navigate this new service. Please note that is you would like to make part payments towards the school fees, this can be done via Compass by changing the amount you would like to contribute and then make a payment again when you are ready. Compass will keep a record of the payments you have made so you can check. As always if you have any trouble please don't hesitate to see us at the office for assistance.

We are pleased to announce that so far we have had $1500 donated towards our First Aid/ Sickbay upgrade through your contributions. This along with $3000 raised by our Social & Fundraising Committee, will go towards a much needed upgrade to our sickbay. This upgrade includes a new bed, bench with cupboards for safe medication storage and a new freezer to hold the many icepacks given out daily.

We have also had $1500 contribution towards our School Grounds Maintenance and Improvement. You can see we are slowing improving our yard with much needed upgrades such as our new basketball towers, lines painting, playgrounds and more coming this year.

To date we have had $26,200 paid towards our Curriculum Contributions. We thank you so much for your contributions as this payment goes towards your children's Classroom consumables, materials and equipment including art supplies, sports equipment, our new Auslan program (Which our students are loving!), performing arts, classroom bulk supplies etc. This money also goes towards all online subscriptions used by students including Maths Online, Wushka, Essential Maths Assessment, Leader in Me and much more!

We would also like to thank everyone for their purchase of the School Supplies through KAKA Kids Stationery Supplies. We have had 99% of families purchase through this online service which has made the start of the year with classroom set up a breeze and all students having what they need to learn at school.

CSEF payments via Events - For all families who qualify for CSEF you will be able to use this for the upcoming Water Safety Swimming Program, however at this stage the CSEF money has not transferred to our school system and so is not showing on compass events. This will roll over in the next week or so and so you will be able to see the CSEF box to tick if you are eligible.

Please see below for more information about CSEF and how to apply.

Thanks

Sometimes students need to be picked up early for an appointment. Students who need to be dismissed early must be picked up from the office. We will call down to your child's class and call them to the office to be signed out.

Student Medications and Action Plans 🚑

It is important for our school to have an updated copy of an Asthma Action Plan, Anaphylaxis and/or Allergy Plan for the health and wellbeing of your child and to adhere to our school policies. These forms need updating yearly to comply with our management policy.

To help us complete this process, it would be appreciated if you could please arrange to have the form/s completed. Please note your doctor needs to prepare and sign this form.

It is also important that you come past the front office to replace any medication that is out of date or no longer needed.  If your child does not already have medication at the office and needs it, please provide all medications with names to the office ASAP.

If you have any questions, or would like a copy of the forms please contact the front office

Thank you for your help in managing this.

Camps, Sports and Excursions Fund

https://www.education.vic.gov.au/about/programs/Pages/csef.aspx

Please see the front office for a hard copy of the CSEF form

The CSEF provides payments to assist eligible families to cover the costs of camps, sporting activities and excursions.

Payments are made directly to an eligible student’s school. Schools must use a CSEF payment only for the eligible student and not for that student’s siblings or any other student (except where the eligible student leaves the Victorian education system and there are remaining and unspent funds).

Some common examples of school-organised programs for which a CSEF payment may be used include:

  • school camps/trips
  • swimming and other school-organised sporting programs
  • outdoor education programs
  • excursions/incursions.

The CSEF payment cannot be used towards:

  • books
  • stationery
  • school uniforms
  • before/after school care
  • music lessons
  • locker hire
  • classroom and homework materials
  • graduations and formals
  • other expenses unrelated to camps, sports or excursions.

Families holding a valid means-tested concession card or temporary foster parents are eligible to apply. A Special Consideration category also exists. Schools can receive applications from families over term one and two.

Families can list more than one student in the one application form if they are attending the same school.
