Sacred Heart Athletics Carnival

Well done to all the children from Years 3 – 6 who competed at our Athletics Carnival last Friday at Colac Central Reserve. It was great to see all the children “having a go”. The weather was a day of mixed seasons, with drizzle rain one minute and then beautiful sunshine. Children participated in many track and field activities including High Jump, Shot Put, Discus, 100m, 200m, Relays etc. The overall winner on the day was team Mercy (red), followed closely by Marian (blue) and then Arundell (yellow).

A big thank you to all the staff at Sacred Heart and the parents/grandparents who assisted on the day with the many jobs that help to make the event run smoothly.

Golf Coaching Lessons

On Thursday 16th and Friday 31st March, the children in Years 5 and 6 will have golf lessons with golf pro Michael Bainbridge. Michael is very experienced in the game of golf and we look forward to him visiting the school. Children CANNOT wear their sports uniform on Friday 31st March, because it is school photos. This will not affect their golf because they will be learning how to putt. Golf lessons will take place on the school oval. Golf clubs, putters etc will be supplied on both days.
