Principal's Report

Dear families,

Hopefully everyone had an enjoyable long weekend. We spent the weekend at Lake Boga with family and friends. The children had a great time on the water kneeboarding, skiing and wakeboarding. I was happy to sit on the bank and watch!!

BREAKFAST CLUB

Once again breakfast club was very well attended this week. Many thanks to Emily Crawford and Jess Douglas-Monks who came along to help.

150 YEARS CELEBRATION

Mel Hall has volunteered to help organise the 150-year celebration which is wonderful. The Toolamba Community Group are also willing to assist which is fantastic.

Junior School Council are holding a dress up day for St Patrick’s Day, tomorrow, 17th March.  Children are encouraged to wear green.  Students will participate in a whole school dancing session, run by Miss Larcombe and JSC, after assembly.

PARENTS & FRIENDS AGM

P&F will hold their first meeting for the year on Monday 20th March at 7pm at the Toolamba Hotel. We encourage you to come along and support our school.

NAPLAN

An estimated 1.3 million Australian students will have their reading, writing and maths skills tested this week when they sit NAPLAN, with results fast-tracked to parents and schools months earlier than previous years.

Test report cards will also be radically overhauled, with the 10 NAPLAN bands and national minimum standard dumped in favour of four proficiency levels: exceeding; strong; developing; and needs additional support.

Testing will span over a two-week period.

Have a lovely weekend,

Regards Heather
