Prayer:

St. Patrick’s Prayer

May the Strength of God pilot us.

May the Power of God preserve us.

May the Wisdom of God instruct us.

May the Hand of God protect us.

May the Way of God direct us.

May the Shield of God defend us.

May the Host of God guard us

Against the snares of the evil ones,

Against temptations of the world.

May Christ be with us!

May Christ be before us!

May Christ be in us,

Christ be over all!

May Thy Salvation, Lord,

Always be ours,

This day, O Lord, and evermore.

Amen.

Lent - Project Compassion

Last week, Stage 2 classes hosted a lunchtime disco to help with our Lenten Appeal for Project Compassion. It was a hugely successful fundraiser, managing to raise over $330 for Caritas.

This week, Stage 3 classes are hosting a Bake Sale at recess on Thursday. Depending on availability, there may even be leftovers for sale on Friday! Next week, the Infants classes are holding a Zooper Dooper sale for a gold coin donation.

St Patrick’s Day - Friday 17th March

This Friday, we will be celebrating St Patrick’s Day. St Patrick is the patron saint of Ireland and is a popular saint for Australians given the huge Irish population in Australia following the British settlement.

To celebrate St Patrick’s Day, students will wear green clothes to school this Friday. We look forward to seeing a sea of green wash through the school!

Family Mass & BBQ - Saturday 18th March

This Saturday night, St Xavier’s is hosting a Family Mass followed by a BBQ sausage sizzle. Mass begins at 6pm at St Joseph’s Church and all members of the St Xavier’s family are invited. We chose to have our Family Mass coincide with the feast of our parish’s patron saint, St Joseph.

It would be greatly appreciated if you can ask your eldest child to return the RSVP slip back to the Office this week and we look forward to seeing you there if you can make it!
