Dear Parents and Caregivers,
This Sunday is our first Children’s Mass for the year. All children and families are warmly invited to join parishioners at Sacred Heart Church at 10:30am to celebrate Mass together. Families participating in the 2023 Sacramental Program are especially invited to come along to this Mass.
The Parish Sacramental Program is commencing soon and families of children in Year 3 and 4 who are baptised Catholic are asked to enrol in the program. Please see the newsletter for further details.
Learning Conversations will take place next Tuesday and Wednesday, March 28th and 29th. This is an opportunity for your child to share their successes, challenges and future directions with their parents and teachers. This is an important component of our learning program and all families are expected to book a time for their child/children. Please go to SiMON Everywhere for bookings.
Thank you for all the very generous donations of Easter eggs for our Easter Raffle. Please send along something to school to be added to the hampers if you haven’t already done so. Tickets have gone home and are selling fast. Thank you everyone. There are always more available at the office if families are able to sell more. We will be asking for some volunteers to put the hampers together on Monday 3rd April. Please let the office know if you are available to help. All money raised in the Easter Raffle will go towards our playground improvements.
To further enrich the History Unit, Australia – The Melting Pot, Year 5/6s are visiting the Immigration Museum in Melbourne today. Thank you to their teachers for organising this learning opportunity, which includes a walk along Sandridge Bridge looking at the immigration timeline, a visit to Birrarung Marr and topped off with gelati to end their day. We look forward to hearing all about their Melbourne excursion on their return.
Everyone is currently busy training for our annual Cross Country event which will be held early next term at Cussen Park. All children participate in this event and to run this safely it is completely reliant on the support of volunteers. We require a number of volunteers to help on the day and would greatly appreciate your support. Please see SiMON Everywhere and complete the google form.
May the Sacred Heart of Jesus continue to watch over our school community and bless us always.
