Sport update
GSV Swimming/Diving
The GSV Swimming and Diving team will be representing Shelford for the last time at the Championship Carnival at MSAC on Tuesday 21 March. We wish our swimmers and divers luck for this event and look forward to sharing our results in the next newsletter.
GSV Cross Country
The GSV Cross Country program is underway for the 2023 season. We started our program on Friday morning out on the school oval. These sessions will continue each Tuesday and Friday morning until the end of the term and begin again in Term 2. The Cross Country program is available to all senior school students. It is a fantastic way to begin your day with physical activity, meet new friends and have some fun. Anyone who would like more information on the Cross Country program, feel free to send me an email – loconnell@shelford.vic.edu.au.
Division Swimming
On Friday 10 March, Abbey M (Year 6) represented Shelford and South Yarra District Sporting Association (SYDSA) at the Beachside Division Swimming Carnival. Abbey made it through in both of her individual events, after her outstanding result at the SYDSA swim carnival. Abbey finished 5th out of the 2 Backstroke heats and 4th out of the 2 Butterfly heats. We congratulate Abbey on her efforts at the Division swimming.
Energy Hub
Energy Hub is quite literally back up and running. We have started the year once again with our ever-popular Run Club. The Year 3 and 6 students that have attended the sessions so far have been out running, jogging and at times walking laps of the school oval each Friday morning. We would love to see some new faces there!
