Continous Reporting

To meet the needs of our students, teachers and parents/carers, in 2022 we transitioned to a  continuous reporting model.

Continuous reporting allows us to provide timely feedback on student achievement by:

Providing parents/carers and students with regular teacher reporting via Shelly

Providing students with consistent and specific advice from their teachers that will help to improve their performance.

Our Continuous Reporting Model consists of four key components:

Parent Teacher Conferences

As part of our continuous reporting model, parent teacher conferences enable parents/carers to meet with their daughter’s teachers to discuss their progress and to learn how it is that their daughter can continue to grow as learner.

Junior School (P - Year 6)

The Junior School homeroom teachers hosted their first parent teacher conference for the year on 22 February. These conferences were held onsite and provided parents/carers with the opportunity to meet and share information with their daughter’s homeroom teacher.

The next parent teacher conferences will be with specialist teachers. Parents/Carers are able to choose to complete their parent teacher conferences onsite at Shelford, remotely via MS Teams, or a mix of both. Please see below for the relevant dates and options available:

  • Thursday, 30 March (1.30 - 8.00pm) – Onsite at Shelford (no remote option)
  • Wednesday, 5 April (2.30 - 8.00pm) – Remotely/Online via MS Teams (no onsite option)

A communication will be sent to families soon informing you how to book your upcoming parent teacher conferences.

On these dates’ classes will finish at 12.40pm to provide a lunch break for teachers prior to the start of the conferences. Supervision will be provided for JS students until 3.15pm if required. Please contact Vicky Gemmell if your daughter will require supervision at Shelford on either of these dates.

Senior School (Years 7 – 12)

This semester in the Senior School, there are two options available to parents/carers and students. Parents/Carers are able to choose to complete their parent teacher conferences onsite at Shelford, remotely via MS Teams, or a mix of both. Please see below for the relevant dates and options available:

  • Thursday, 30 March (1.30-8pm) – Onsite at Shelford (no remote option available)
  • Wednesday, 5 April (2.30-8pm) – Remotely/Online via MS Teams (no onsite option available)

A communication will be sent to families soon informing you how to book your upcoming parent teacher conferences. On these dates’ classes will finish at 12.40pm to provide a lunch break for teachers prior to the start of the conferences.

If required, we encourage you to reach out to your daughter’s teachers prior to the parent teacher conferences or at any point in the school year. The best way to contact teachers is via their Shelford email address, however please be mindful that our teachers are very busy during the course of a school day and may take a few days to get back to you.
