Schools have long spoken about the benefits of students involving themselves in extra-curricular opportunities. We see many instances of this at Shelford with our extensive range of programs in so many areas of the school. Just recently, I had the pleasure of going to my very first Head of the Schoolgirls Regatta (HOSG) on the Barwon River, and I was so impressed by what I saw.
It was incredible to watch the camaraderie amongst not only the students but their parents and supporters too. It is clear to see just how much the students benefit from such a wonderful extra-curricular program. Congratulations to all of the rowers and well done on a great season. Thank you also to Jules Whitehead our Director of Rowing, the coaching team and our wonderful band of parents who make it all possible.
School Tours are a regular and very important event at Shelford as they are a valuable opportunity to present our beautiful school to prospective students and their families. I am indebted to our Year 10 Student Tour Guides who do such a wonderful job showcasing our school and highlighting the many benefits of a Shelford education. I thank them for their work and commitment and look forward to working with them throughout the year.
