Prep

The Prep Team would like to thank the students and parents for their continued efforts and support this year. We are heading into 2024 with some fond memories of 2023. 

We are excited to see the Prep students step towards the new adventure of Year 1 in 2024, however their smiles, laughter and brilliant personalities will be missed on Level 5! Please see some of the highlights from across the year below. 

Year 1

As we reach the end of the year, it's a moment to reflect on the incredible journey of our Year 1 students. We are so proud of their achievements and the learning they have demonstrated throughout the year. Each student has shown resilience, curiosity and a genuine enthusiasm for learning, making this year truly memorable. Congratulations to all our Year 1 students on a fantastic year of learning and discovery!

Year 2

For the past few weeks, our Year 2 students have been learning about gratitude. They identified things they were thankful for in their lives. Their gratitudes were so heartwarming and insightful that we wanted the whole cohort to read each other's work. This led to a Gallery Walk where students had the opportunity to read the gratitudes carefully and to make connections with their peers. It was an activity that brought joy and happiness to the cohort. 

This leads into the Year 2 team wanting to share gratitude to our students and families for an amazing year. We have many memories, including our in-visits and excursion, Family Fridays and our themed assemblies. Your support, care and positivity has developed a strong home-school relationship and shown how much you believe in what we do here at SMPS. We are truly grateful!

Year 3

What an amazing and jam-packed year it has been in Year 3! The Year 3 team would like to thank all of our students and their families for such a successful year. From helping us out with excursions and Camp, to supporting your children in completing their homework each week, we couldn’t have done it without you!

We are so grateful for the Year 3 community here at SMPS. We wish all students and their families all the best in 2024.

Year 4

It has been an incredible year full of learning, laughter and growth for our Year 4 students in 2023. We are so proud of the progress that each and every Year 4 child has made. We thank all of our wonderful Year 4 families for their support throughout the year. We are so grateful for everything you do to help us and the students.

We wish you all a safe and happy holidays. See you in 2024!

Year 5

As the year draws to a close, the Year 5 teachers would be like thank our families for your continued support throughout the year. The Year 5 students have grown and flourished throughout the year and this would not have been possible without your help.

We wish them the best of luck heading into their final year of primary school, Year 6!

Year 6

In the grand finale of their SMPS school journey, our Year 6 stars haven't just crafted graduation speeches; they've painted vivid portraits of their time at SMPS, each stroke a memory, each word a testament to growth!

Reflecting on their transformative years, they have completed their graduation speeches, ready to share with you next week. They resonate with the echoes of shared laughter, challenges overcome and friendships forged. The celebration of the near end of term soared to new heights at Gravity Zone, where our graduates defied gravity with jumps, savoured victory in laser tag battles, and shared meals in the company of teachers and friends.  A great time was had by all! Miss Sarah and Miss Cathy will miss these amazing individuals and thank you all at home for supporting us this year. We feel privileged to have work with you all.

Today is not goodbye it is a 'See you at graduation next week!'
