Mark it in your diary and invite Grandparents and friends along to this very special annual event. This is such a fun filled day that everyone enjoys. Can't wait!!!

ANZAC Day Parades in our community

As a College we encourage our students from Kindergarten to Year 12 to attend their local marches. Here is the information below on where, what time and who they will meet.  We would like our students to be wearing their Full College Winter Uniform.

Year 9 Maths Fundraiser

A HUGE thank you to the great team of students who raised over $28.00 for our Monday morning 'Get Toasted' program! All those cookies (and hard work!) were worth it – I’m sure all the students who were able to buy a cookie really enjoyed it too! We really appreciate the support for this great event and we are also grateful for Mr & Mrs Iverson & Mrs Attard for their hard work EVERY Monday morning – the best jam/honey/vegemite spreaders  in the Manning Valley!

New parents to TCC - morning tea

It was lovely to get to know just some of our new parents/carers, thank you for taking the time to join us. We know that there were some unable to make it and we look forward to catching up with you at our Grandparents' / Open Day on 11 May 2018!

Primary Speaking Slam

On Thursday 5th April Taree Christian College held their first Speaking Slam. The Speaking Slam is a new in-school public speaking competition designed to encourage our gifted speakers. Public speaking helps students to develop confidence and build up their self-esteem. It is a valuable skill to have in life. We want to give our students many opportunities to show the gifts and talents that they have been given, by creating opportunities for them to practise speaking on stage with a live audience.

This year, two representatives from each class in Years 3-6 competed in the Junior and Senior division. It was every close but the winners on the day were:

Phoebe Green from Year 3/4J and

Esther Smith from Year 5M

Thank you to our judges, David Coleman, Jason Reed, Kathryn Burns and Kate Donaldson.

A big congratulations to all students who made it through to the grand final.

Taree Christian College is pleased to announce that we now have a Typing Tournament license for every student within our school. Students in Years 2- 6 will be using the Typing Tournament program during some ISC lessons and also with their class teacher. However we would like to encourage all students to use this program, especially our Secondary students.

If you have a child in Secondary School and would like to utilise this excellent program at home, please contact Mrs Tindall in the ISC for log in details so they can learn this valuable skill.

VIP (Volunteers In Partnership) Morning Tea

This week TCC celebrated the end of Term 1 with a ‘thank you’ morning tea for our awesome volunteers.

As usual the conversation flowed (as it does when you get a bunch of lively people together) and much cake and coffee was consumed!!

We are thankful for everyone who helps in our College.

Have you thought about becoming a ‘Volunteer In Partnership’ with Taree Christian College? There are lots of ways you can become a TCC VIP.

Helping in the classroom both Primary and Secondary, Administration, ISC (Information Service Centre), Excursions, Special Events, Agriculture, Arts, Drama, Technology, Sport, Duke of Edinburgh, and there is so much more…. you can even help from home.

Please contact Margaret Saunders if you would like some more information.
