Wellbeing

Mr Kieran O'Dwyer - Deputy Principal

As we come to the end of a very long year, it has been pleasing to see the enthusiasm displayed by our 2021 Year 12 cohort as they have commenced to build relationships with their new teachers and class mates through a revised Term 0 Program. Also, the resilience and persistence shown by our Year 7 – 10 students up until their final exams and classes has been a testament to the courage they have displayed throughout the year.

When discussing with your child their academic, social and emotional progress this year and how he or she has coped with the challenges involved, it is important to focus on what can be celebrated. These discussions, as well as teacher feedback and student reflection will help inform the learning, social and emotional goals your child sets at the start of 2021.

I wish to acknowledge our hard working and dedicated staff that always have the students at the forefront of their thinking. Time and time again, I have been inspired to hear statements like,

“How will this support student’s growth and understanding”?

The outstanding efforts made to ensure our students achieve personal excellence is commendable and I thank each and every one for their commitment. I also wish to recognise the parents within our College. Thank you for your support, your willingness to walk alongside us, your affirmation and encouragement as we work in partnership for each young person, who we want only the best for.

Finally, I would like to wish our students, our families and all on our community a very Happy and Holy Christmas and I look forward, with eagerness, to working with you all in the new year.
