Where are they now?

Class of 2020: Where are they now?

2020 was like no other year ever experienced by Year 12 students. However, despite such challenging circumstances, they have achieved success in their studies and moved on to the next exciting stage in their lives.

Destinations

The most popular areas for further study were Nursing and Allied Health, Business and Biomedicine/Science. There were also a number of students who chose Education, Health Science, Real Estate and Engineering.

This year was really distinguished by a very broad range of career choices, which allowed each individual to pursue their own pathway in some really diverse areas, including Cyber Security, Conservation Biology, Radiography, Pharmacy, Nutrition, Design, Beauty, Sport, Dental and Criminology.

81% of the Class of 2020, from both VCE and VCAL, were offered a place at University or TAFE, which is a fantastic outcome. Four students have successfully commenced apprenticeships and thirteen have been offered employment.

Scholarships

Many of the Class of 2020 also received a scholarship for University or TAFE, with two Melbourne University Access scholarships valued at $5,000 and three Monash University Achieving Potential scholarships, two valued at $6,000, and one at $3,000.

Three of our students received humanitarian scholarships, which fully fund their course as well as providing a $5,000 annual bursary.

There were also multiple scholarships received from RMIT and Monash for $1,000 to $3,000.

The Class of 2020 have shown such resilience and perseverance throughout their final year of secondary school and we are so proud of their achievements. We wish them all the best in their future careers.
