Harmony Day - save the date

12th March, 2021

Dear Families of St. John Vianney’s,

            RE: SAVE THE DATE - Harmony Day – Friday March 12, 2021

On Friday 12th March, Harmony Day, the students will participate in activities that celebrate and recognise diversity and inclusion in Australia and at St John Vianney’s. They will participate in activities that take place during the day as well as celebrating our multicultural diversity during our Harmony Day Liturgy

To celebrate Harmony Day, students can come dressed in one of the following options:

  1. In the traditional costume/dress of their home country or their parents’ country of birth;
  2. In the colour orange (the traditional colour of Harmony Day);
  3. In school uniform with a touch of orange.

Please note: it is not a free dress day. Please choose from one of the above options. Students might choose to bring a small flag from another country or drape a large flag over their shoulders.

We look forward to the great spectacle of colours and traditional costumes on the 12th of March and celebrating our cultural diversity with over 40 countries represented here at St. John Vianney’s Primary School Mulgrave. More information will follow in the next newsletter.

Kind Regards,
