Lake Keepit Excursion

Last Friday Stage 3 went on an excursion to the Lake Keepit Sport and recreation Center. It was an action packed day, as the fantastic staff endeavoured to cram two days worth of activities into one day. The activities included stand up paddle boarding, canoeing, archery, the giant slip and slide and finally the infamous Lake Keepit mud run.

We were so proud of the way our students engaged in the  group activities, constantly encouraging each other and having a go at everything.

A special thanks to Heath, Pete and Scott from Lake Keepit Sport and Recreation for organising the day. It was an amazing way to finish the year as a Stage.

Year 5 Leadership Speeches

Last Tuesday all of our Year 5 students delivered their leadership speeches to the whole school. This can be a daunting task, however all of our students did an excellent job and it was clear they had taken a lot of care to prepare and practise their speeches. It was also fantastic to see so many students referencing our St. Joseph's School Rules for Living (we are safe, we are valued and we are learners) in their speeches.

Term 4 Gymnastics

For Sport this in Term 4 we have had the Tamworth Gymnastics Club come in to run a 5 week program for all of our grades. The students have really enjoyed this experience and we would like to thank Steve and the team for Tamworth Gymnastics Club for the expertise in delivering this program.

Merry Christmas and Farewell

It is hard to believe that the year has gone this fast and Christmas is upon us already.

I would like to take this opportunity that thank the St. Joseph's Community for welcoming me so warmly this year. I would especially like to thank Mrs. Hanes for her leadership and guidance and my Co - Assistant Principal Mrs. Holland for her help and support. I have thoroughly enjoyed working with so many dedicated and caring teachers and have also enjoyed getting to know all the wonderful students at St. Joseph's.

I would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas, a safe and relaxing holiday and all the best in 2021.

Thank you and God bless,

Pete Flynn
