End of Year Reports

The Semester 2 reports will be sent home this Friday 11th December via Compass. Your child will also be given a printed copy of the report so please check your child’s bag for it.

The NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) requires schools to report student achievement in each Key Learning Area using a five-point scale.  In the past this has been done using an A - E scale, however, beginning with the Semester 2 reporting period, new language will be used to describe the five-point scale.  Instead of A - E, the language used to describe a child’s knowledge and skills will be:

A reminder to please check carefully at home for any classroom readers and return to school by the end of the term.

Merry Christmas

It is difficult to believe that the end of the 2020 school year is almost upon us.  While this year has been unlike any other, it has been successful in so many ways. As this is the final  newsletter, I would like to acknowledge and thank Mrs Hanes and  the wonderful St Joseph’s staff for their efforts throughout the year; they are dedicated to ensuring the children receive the best education in a supportive learning environment.  Special thanks to my Co-Assistant Principal, Mr Flynn, for his contributions and support throughout the year.  I wish him all the best in his new position at St Edward’s Primary School.

Wishing you all a merry Christmas and happy new year.  I hope you have a wonderful, safe festive season with family and friends.

Kind regards,

Maree Holland
