New Staff & Leadership Team

Ruby Austin

Ruby has completed her Bachelor of Arts/Master of Secondary Teaching. Her new role at Monivae is Drama teaching. This semester she is teaching Year 7 and 8’s and a VCE class, whilst also having a homeroom. Ruby is thrilled to be teaching Drama as she has a strong passion for the Performing Arts. 

 

 

Lia Mailes 

Lia has had a long affiliation with the college since 2012 when she began her employment at Monivae as the school Registrar. After 25 years deferred from University she undertook a Bachelor of Arts/Master of Secondary Teaching. During this time Lia continued to work at the school on a part time basis whilst studying online. Her new role will see her teaching both Humanities and English.

 

Melody Keath

Melody has joined the Monivae team as timetable administrator, Physical Education teacher and homeroom teacher. Melody has been teaching for the past 13 years at King’s College in Warrnambool. She held numerous Coordinator positions at the college over this time, including year level, pastoral care, sport and timetabling roles.

 

 

Nyah Bester

Nyah commences her role as a Learning Support Officer this year whilst studying a science and teaching degree online, hoping to make the move to teaching in the future. Nyah has experience in tutoring high school and university students in both math's and science areas and is excited to be a part of the Monivae community.

 

 

Colleen Page

Colleen has been a Primary teacher for the past 12 years and looks forward to being in a different educational role at the Secondary school level. With 3 of her own children attending Monivae, Colleen is very eager and looking forward to her new role as a Learning Support Officer.

 

 

 

Naomi Annett

A married mother of a daughter currently attending Monivae College, Naomi grew up in Woolsthorpe before moving to Hamilton 25 years ago for work. Previously working at the Spectator, Ace Radio, Hamilton Racing Club & THAC, with a background in Graphic design, Photography  & Administration, Naomi has joined the team at Monivae as Foundation Coordinator.

 

Kylie Schurmann

Kylie has joined Monivae’s Development team as Marketing Co-ordinator, after many years spent marketing and developing products at Dunkeld’s Royal Mail Hotel. Kylie lives with her family (including a current Monivae student and Alumni) on their farm at Strathkellar.
