Principal Christmas message

Each year, I reflect on the year that was, share gratitude for all that was accomplished and wish a festive season to us all.

We saw online recently the following message of which I feel is incredibly relevant.

"You're going to come in contact with an awful lot of people who are at their absolute breaking point this month. Friends, family, neighbours, co-workers, teachers, strangers in the grocery store, retail workers. While it maybe the merriest time of year for some, it maybe the saddest, most stressful, loneliest, most heartbreaking for other's.  We're all busy. But we're not too busy to be kind, caring and patient. Remember the best thing you can give someone this season is your love and kindness."

We hope you this festive season provides you with the opportunity to recharge and remember the joys of Summer sunshine, Christmas goodies and Family laughter.

Merry Christmas.

Important message from the Principal

You may be aware of an incident in which a threat was made towards members of the school community Wednesday 9th December.

Firstly, I want to assure you that our number priority is always the safety and wellbeing of our students and staff.

The school takes any potential threat towards our school community very seriously. Police were immediately notified, and steps were taken to ensure the safety of staff and students.

We do not believe that there is an ongoing risk to the school community. However, we have enacted our school-based Emergency Management processes and key personnel are fully aware of procedures to follow if a situation is to arise.

If your child is concerned about the incident, please let a teacher know so that wellbeing support can be arranged through the social worker and welfare program.

Given that the incident is a police matter, the school is unable to provide further information to parents at this time.
