Food For Families / Care & Share

FOOD FOR FAMILIES APPEAL- Ends Wednesday 10 December!   

Thank you very much to all of the wonderful people who have made generous donations of non-perishable food and toiletry items for our Food For Families Appeal.  

Many boxes have been filled with good quality products that will be much appreciated by many Victorian families who are at risk of homelessness this Christmas.

If you still wish to donate any products, you will need to hurry as the Food For Families boxes will be picked up on:

WEDNESDAY 10 DECEMBER 2014.

The boxes are located in the foyer near the office. 

CARE & SHARE PROGRAM

The Care & Share Program requires a list of volunteers a coordinator can call upon if required.  This program is designed to help families within the school community who have been struck down with severe illness or hardship.  When you put your name on the list of volunteers, you are asked to specify what you are volunteering for e.g. cooking, baking, gardening, child minding, shopping, walking the family dog, mowing the lawn etc.   

A roster is then compiled and is either emailed out to you or a hard copy is given to your eldest child via the classroom. 

Normally you might be required to volunteer once every two months.

Even though you might already have your name down on the current list of 2014 volunteers, you will be required to fill out another form for 2015 (attached below), as I need to update the list in case you have left the school or changed your mind about volunteering.
