Please note that Friday March 18th will be a Pupil Free Day - no students will be required at school. On this day staff will be completing professional learning. A reminder to parents and students that it is NOT ok for our students to go back to their primary school when we have a pupil free day - they have their own students to be working with and are not legally responsible for students who have left their school.
At the closing of nominations for College Council, the following positions were filled:
Category | Number of Vacancies | Nominations received | Vacancies still to fill |
---|---|---|---|
Parent | 4 (3x2 yr. positions, 1x 1yr position) | 3 - Amber Byrnes, Debra Orsini, Philip Gourlay | 1x 12 month position |
DET | 2x 2 year positions | 2 - Kylie Morrish, Peter Manno | none |
Community | 3 (2x2 yr. position, 1x 1 yr. position) | 1 - Paige Woods | 2 - 1x 2yr. position, 1x 1 yr. position |
As the number of nominations did not exceed the number of vacancies, no elections are required. Student nominations for the one student vacancy on council are currently being collected. If you are interested in filling the three vacancies we still have (1 parent position and 2 community positions), please contact me at the College.
The Annual General Meeting of the College Council will be held on Wednesday March 16th.
The delayed centenary celebrations for the establishment of the township of Red Cliffs will be occurring on the 1st - 4th April. As part of our contribution, we will be holding an open school for tours on Friday April 1st, between 4.30 and 6pm. As well as a chance for parents and past students to see how the school has changed, we will have some memorabilia on display. 2022 is also our 60th anniversary of our school on this site, so we will be marking this occasion at the same time. Another date for your calendar - especially if you (or anyone you know) is a former student or staff member of the school.
DO YOU HAVE ANY MEMORABILIA YOU WOULD LIKE TO LOAN TO US FOR OUR OPEN EVENING? Old uniforms, school bags, photos - we would love to be able to display them. We have a complete set of Belah's (the school magazine) so don't need any of them.
Mildura Council Library have been busy digitising school magazines for schools across the district, including ours. Its a work in progress, but it is fantastic. If you would like to have a look, follow this link and expand the Red Cliffs section:
