YEAR 12 TRIVIA NIGHT

Q: What’s the best way to bring the Year 12 cohort together and promote school spirit while simultaneously giving back to our community?

A: Year 12 trivia night, of course!

And so it was, the Year 12 Senior School Council team banded together to put on the 3rd annual - and potentially greatest ever - Year 12 Trivia Night! The excitement was palpable as over 260 eager students and teachers flocked to the school hall, all dressed up according to their team themes, on the evening of Friday 13 May.

Despite the irony of the date, the evening proved to be a huge success, with over $2400 raised for the State Schools’ Relief!

With fast-paced questions, live music, food and a jubilant atmosphere, it was a special night and a standout on the school calendar. Participants really gave it their all, with the night putting their dancing, singing, paper-plane-making and trivia skills to the test.

The competition was fierce across all domains, with only a very slim margin of one point between each of the top three teams.

Ultimately, there could only be one winner, and this year, the Trivia Champions were ‘The Highlander Pigeons’! Congratulations to Jordan Galgut, Lachlan Mokotow, Otto Cox-Martino, Ethan Tran, Saksham Singh, Greg Liarakos, Billy Barton, Mia Sarra, Ruby Doan, Ron Shamrak, Daniel Finnigan and Mia Ciccolallo for their epic win!

That’s not to say that others weren’t victorious though, with participants having the opportunity to battle it out for bonus points throughout the night, most notably on the dance floor. Amber Lotzof and Mr Graham fought tooth and nail in the finals before Amber finally claimed the title of Best Dancer. Her team, the ‘GILFS’, was also named the Best Dressed Team on the night. Well done to Poppy ElliottTait ThomsonAlicia ZoreOlivia MazarakisAmber Lotzof and Mila Taczynski for going above and beyond with their Grandma outfits! Everyone looked simply fabulous!

This amazing event would not have been possible without the likes of the Year 12 Senior School Council team, Mr Kelemen, Ms Felmingham and all the teachers in attendance on the night, as well as Raeleen Evans, Brock Lynch, Charlotte Robinson and Jane Stott who catered for the night, audiovisual team, and of course, our esteemed principal, Mrs Binnion.

Thank you all for your assistance and support in running this event!

YEAR 7 CAMP

As the term is coming to an end what better way to end it with Year 7 camp.

At the end of last term our Year 7s had gone off to Phillip island as our Year 7 camp resort.  The campsite brought smiles and positive attitudes as everyone had a great time.

The camp was packed with so much fun and exciting activities. From the giant swing to the surfing, everyone loved participating in these fun activities. Exciting nights with talent shows and a wonderful trivia night.

Everyone had a great time and couldn’t be happier with the camp experience.
