College Captains

and Student Leaders News

From our Student Leaders

2022 is going to bring remarkable things to Epping Secondary College.

We college captains, teachers and SRC members  are putting many different ideas and opportunities into motion during Term 1, with much more to come in Term 2.

Some of the outdoor projects we will aim to move forward include an outdoor study space next to the N-building, commemorating previous principals, a refined and functional recycling system and a much-needed Indigenous flagpole in-front of our school, as we are on Wurundjeri lands.

We are also working towards reviving desired lunchtime clubs to allow students to express and showcase their talents and create a more thrilling high-school experience.

We are also excited to support some fundraisers, activities and workshops throughout the year.

The college captains At Epping Secondary College are really looking forward to bringing our school community back together in 2022.

From the Student Voice and Wellbeing Leaders:

A lot of thought and hard work is going into the importance of student wellbeing in 2022 and I would like to share some of the things the wellbeing team and leaders are organising for Epping Secondary College.

  • Breakfast club is being reinstated this year! Join your peers from 8-8:30AM once a month outside the main staffroom for food and drink, dates will be advertised around the school. We can’t stress enough just how important breakfast is for the body, especially to those who don’t have access to a good breakfast at home. The first breakfast club was on Wednesday 9th March.
  • The resilience project launches very soon for years 10-12, a program that will be run in 2022 to assist with student’s mental health. Therefore, it is super important that everyone collects their PLANNER from the office ASAP.

  • Tuesday the 22nd of March lunchtime is the first meeting of the Rainbow Group, a group inclusive to any students who are passionate about planning and producing projects for the LGBTQ+ community.
