Whittlesea Food Collective -Community Connections Elective Is Now Active!

VCAL students worked with much enjoyment and enthusiasm in the Whittlesea Food Collective Garden weeding garden beds in preparation for harvest vegetables whilst others worked on sorting and packing donated items for the Whittlesea Food Collective.

Week 3 of Whittlesea Food Collective involved students clearing the garden beds for autumn. Students worked hard to clear garden beds so that vegetables used by the Whittlesea Food Collective can be planted in the coming weeks. Volunteers at the Collective were also treated to Anzac Biscuits and Chocolate Balls made by our Community Baking students to thank them for the valuable work they do each week. The VCAL students who prepare meals for the collective also made delicious meals of Fried Rice for distribution at the Whittlesea Food Collective. A productive Friday for our VCAL students, well done to all involved!
