Debating Team 

We are pleased to announce that Epping Secondary College will be participating in the Schools Competition held by the Debaters Association of Victoria. The competition will again be hosted at Epping Secondary College in the New Building. This year our amazing debating team includes the following students in Year 9, Theodore Williams, Aribah Kamal, Zahra Mohammadi, Bryana Nye, Japmann Mann, Victoria Liew and Katy Prictor. 

The team has been busily preparing for our first debate which takes place on Thursday March 24, in week 9 of this term. The topic for our first debate is ‘That sporting bodies should not accept sponsorship from gambling companies’. Our team is arguing on the negative side. Katy Prictor, Zahra Mohammadi and Theodore Williams will take on the speaking roles for the first debate. Please wish them luck, along with the rest of the team, if you see them in the school yard!
