Jazz in the Park

After a hot, sunny, and dry few weeks to start the school year, it is typically bad luck that the rain clouds and forecast storms arrive on the day of our annual Jazz in the Park event (which was supposed to be tonight).

We had to take the decision over the weekend to postpone for 7 days and we now invite you to come along next Tuesday evening (8th March).

As you already know, every year at the beginning of Term 1 we have our first social event known as 'Jazz in the Park'. This is a lovely night to meet other families, get to know each other, and listen to some great music. The kids love the evening too. This year we have gone back to our tradition of a BBQ, Sushi Stall, Cake Stall, and Bar.

We need your help

Volunteers needed

We are still very short of parent volunteers for the night and really need these if we are going to go ahead. We are asking all of our parents to donate 30 or 60 minutes of their time to help the school.

We have pretty much nobody signed up after 7:30pm - please ensure you keep scrolling down and look at page 2 of the sign-up!

The link to sign up is www.signupgenius.com/go/60B094BABA62EA3F85-jazz1

Cake Stall

Please bake if you can, label with ingredients and drop in the kitchen in the morning (or at pick up)

At Jazz, there will be a cake stall with sweet treats for $1, $2, and $3 and a few whole cakes. To do this we ask those who are able to provide some baked goods. Slices, biscuits, cupcakes - anything that is easy to hold and eat!

If you can drop them in the kitchen at drop off or pick up on Tuesday, March 8th that would be great. The children love it and it helps make a festive evening.

  • Label - Items must have the tag attached listing ingredients, date baked, the full name of the baker.
  • No fresh cream or raw egg - please avoid items that require refrigeration or might melt
  • Anyone who can cook for dietary needs is particularly invited to do so but must be very sure that if they say an item is for instance dairy-free, then it is completely dairy-free we request that you please supervise your children with dietary needs when choosing an item to eat if required).
  • Delivery of your items to the Kitchen at morning drop off or pick up on the day of the cake stall is preferable
  • Please deliver items in a covered container clearly labelled with your full name as they will be returned to the kitchen for you to collect after the cake stall
