Religious Education

Year 11 Studies of Religion students have adjusted to the speed and delivery of course work in the blended and accelerated course. Students have enjoyed the opportunities to learn new content, work collaboratively with their peers during workshop time and engage in topic based discussions, using the on-line forum on CANVAS.

Students have been submitting weekly posts to this discussion board and taking the opportunity to read and review other student's responses, providing them with constructive feedback as a part of their first Assessment Task. With the introduction of the depth study on Christianity, students will soon undertake preparations for their second Assessment Task.

Tuesday afternoon Studies of Religion tutorials provide an opportunity for students to access additional teacher support in a group or in a one on one capacity for an additional hour each week. Guided course work consolidation is supported, along with student writing preparation and expert feedback on ways in which to improve their responses and assessment tasks. Numbers each week have been growing and we encourage all Year 11 Studies of Religion students to attend as often as they can and to use this opportunity to consolidate and advance their learning.

Year 11 Studies of Religion tutorials are held in the Resource Centre each Tuesday from 3.30pm to 4.30pm.
