Ciao ragazzi e genitori,
It’s been a busy week in Italian, this week!
Foundation students have enjoyed singing the ‘Ciao, Buongiorno’ song and practicing greetings in Italian. Students made their ‘Ciao’ glove to use to practice Italian greetings.
The highlight was a visit from Pinocchio, who shared his adventures with the class.
Year 1 and 2 students, learnt Italian greetings as well as numbers and colours. Students made finger puppets and practised saying their greetings in Italian with a partner. It was fun practising with friends and learning Italian ‘everyday’ conversation questions and replies.
Year 3 and 4 students worked on their ‘una conversazione’ speech bubble script. They then recorded their Italian conversations on iPad. Students also enjoyed some Italian classroom games and ‘Tombola’ game.
Year 5 and 6 students worked on Italian greetings, introductions and everyday questions and replies. They recorded their conversations using Puppet Pals on the iPad. Students also revised language around classroom instructions phrases and sentences used in the classroom.
This week was so enjoyable teaching the students ‘una conversazione’ in Italian. It was great to see such enthusiasm and teamwork. Ben fatto!
Ciao,
Signor McKay e Signora Harrington
