4T Students Acknowledgements of Country

Year 4

Last week, students in Year 4 were learning about the distinction between an ‘acknowledgement’ of country and a ‘welcome’ to country. We discussed First Nations people of our local area and listened to accounts of their connection to ‘country’ and all the meaning that this word represents. 

Students showed their understanding of the Wurundjeri People and their Woiwurrung language by creating their own acknowledgements of country.
