Introducing Dr Mark Bowden. 

VCE Economics and Business Management Teacher. 

I have completed degrees in Economics and Science, as well as a Master Social Science, Master of Teaching (Secondary), and a PhD (in Economics from the University of Queensland). Prior to joining Mazenod, I worked for 14 years at Swinburne University of Technology, most recently as a Senior Lecturer in Economics, before completing my Master of Teaching (KLAs of Economics and Mathematics) and teaching years 7 to 10 Mathematics at Lalor Secondary College. Prior to joining academia, I worked in the energy industry for over 10 years. I have previously worked for AGL, the Queensland Government, the Queensland Competition Authority and Suncorp.

I have also worked as an economic consultant with Mclennan Magasanik Associates and Allen Consulting Group. I have published articles in economics and education journals and delivered papers at international conferences and seminars. In addition, I was also a reviewer for several international journals.
