National Recycle Week: Eliminate. Circulate. Regenerate.

The COP26 Climate Summit is less than a week away. Australia has committed to net-zero by 2050. Did you know that 45% of global greenhouse gas emissions come from the way we make and use products and food. In order to tackle climate change, we have to rethink and redesign our economy — “eliminate waste and pollution, circulate products and materials, and regenerate nature” —

Reusing and recycling are effective ways to move closer towards a circular economy. Refusing and repairing are even better …

National Recycle Week starts 8 November - a perfect opportunity to re-energise our recycling efforts and to overcome these beastly 3 A’s: arrogance (I am too good for this) - apathy (someone else’s problem) - avarice (I want rather than I need).

Let’s all be leaders, and not only change how we feel, think and talk about climate change and its impact on people and planet, but also find ways to be co-creaters of a hope-filled future for all through our actions.

Stay tuned how you can better recycle at home, at work and at school.
