Foundation to Year 2 students will be learning through the following units:
Level 3 to 6 students with learning through the following units:
All students across the school had the opportunity to participate in the Term 3 sporting schools program. Sessions took place at lunch times, recess and virtually with remote learning as well as a few sessions on-site for those who were at school.
We received $600 of new equipment for delivery the program. We thank Sport Australia for the opportunity to move more and allow the students to continue to learn with our new equipment.
Cricket Australia with support from Sport Australia have recently launched new video resources on the Yulunga Traditional Indigenous Games. This is a first if it's kind from any sport (32 national sporting organisations). These videos have been created to support classroom teachers for active learning, PE programs and even for community sport delivery. The extra awesome thing about it is..... our school and students helped make this happen. Well done to everyone involved!
All videos can be found via new Cricket Australia Primary HPE resources and also as seen on the Cricket Australia Coaches App https://apps.apple.com/au/app/the-australian-way/id1153490690 under the Teachers section.
Unfortunately due to restrictions we cannot facilitate the ever important swimming program for 2021 : ( Plans and bookings are in place for 2022.
Two major positives to come out of our Swimming and Water Safety program for 2021 has been the growth of Water Safety knowledge within PE through our data. Well done to our students for demonstrating growth here. The other is we have seen many students work on their rescue skills through remote learning and I am confident that we will also see growth with our rescue skills when assessment takes place in December when we are all back on-site with learning.
Year 4 and 5 Intra-Sport will take place on-site
The program will be split to minimise student interaction. Equipment will also be separated and cleaned down after every session like last year.
The students will play informal social formats where they play for fun with their friends.
Trials will also take place for our 2022 Summer Basketball, Cricket Blast, Volleyball, Tee Ball, Lawn Bowls and Tennis Hot Shots teams.
Yours in Movement,
