PRAYER

October is the month of the Rosary.

Mrs Iwatani’s husband, Masaki, is gravely ill.   He has been battling cancer for 8 years.  Please remember Mrs Iwatani, Mr Iwatani and their daughter Paige in your thoughts and prayers.

Three years ago some of the 6 Blue parents created this prayer.

Dear God

We the sons & families of Pius, lift up the family of our dear teacher, Ms Iwatani.

May  the power of all our thoughts & prayers together

give them strength to face each day,

Please shower them with peace, comfort, faith and hope

to know that You are by their side every step of the way

May they trust that your unending love will provide for them

everyday no matter what maybe.

We pray that Masakí’s suffering is eased with his faith in  You.

This week

Yesterday was Screen Free Day and Thursday of next week (21/10) will also be a Screen Free Day.  We are all returning on Monday 25 October.  Please check your son's uniform to ensure that it fits.

On our return

We will have a day cleaner at the school and a different timetable which allows us to have lunch at a different time to the rest of the school but the specialist lessons can still go ahead.

On Thursdays we will leave for Oxford Falls at the beginning of recess so please ensure your son doesn’t have a 10.30 am music lesson.

Mrs Martin in the Junior Resource Centre has lots of exciting activities planned for when the boys return.  It is important that the boys find their library books so they can return them.

Timetable on return to school  on 25 October

We will be running a different timetable to allow the Junior School to be out in the playground when the remainder of the school are in class and vice versa.  It means that the boys will have 3 periods in a row in the morning with a crunch and sip time sometime in Periods 2 and 3.  Please ensure you pack a snack that is easy for the boys to eat in class.

(No roast dinners allowed!  It has to be quick and easy and preferable not messy.)

ADMINISTRATION : 8:42 am - 8:57 am

Allow a crunch and sip for 5 minutes in Period 2 or 3.

Period 1      8:57 am – 9:50 am

Period 2      9:50 am - 10:43 am

Period 3     10:43 am - 11:36 am

Recess        11:36 am - 11:56 am

Period 4     11:56 am – 12:49 pm

Period 5     12:49 pm - 1:42 pm

Lunch          1:42 pm - 2:22 pm

Period 6      2:22 pm - 3:00 pm

A GOOD NEWS STORY - OLD BOY MEETS NEW BOY

I received this message this week:

"Anthony had a pretty special sporting afternoon when he came across Michael Hooper the Wallabies Captain on the golf course as they both lined up getting ready to tee off. They spoke about Pius and how he was happy that Anthony knew he went to his school as well as his accolades.

Loving Thursday sports day!
