Performing Arts

Music Matters

As time approaches for the return of students to classes we also wait on advice from Catholic Schools NSW about performances. As said in previous Woodchattas, we can hold students one on one lessons from 25 October. We cannot have ensemble rehearsals at school. I’m asking ensemble directors to think of alternate plans.

The 2022 calendar planning is well under way and I’m hoping to have some exciting news for Performing Arts in the near future.

As the year closes on our PAPA Committee I would like to thank Mrs Michelle Godfrey and her team for their efforts and support. In saying this we are saying farewell to some of the committee in 2021. Thanks go to Mrs Carmel Daniels who has been involved in PAPA for many years, especially in her role as caterer. Carmel’s son, Douglas, finishes his time at the college in Year 12. We also Farewell Mrs Gabe Donlevy who has served as our Vice President. Thank you Gabe for your service. We also lose our secretary Mrs Danielle Butler who has indicated she is also stepping down at the end of this year. Thank you Danielle. This means we will be looking for parents to join the committee for 2022. The AGM will be announced soon but please feel free to contact me and discuss what being on the committee entails.

There have been some delays to the screening of our Climate Change Film Projects. These ere mostly out of our hands due to a shut down of the production company during lockdown. We look forward to completing and presenting this project to you as soon as possible.
