From the Principal
Week 8 Term 3 2021
Dear Parents and Guardians
The end of Term 3 is nearly here!!!!! I would like to commence this newsletter with a huge "Thank you" to everyone, students teachers and parents, for your efforts, support and understanding through a challenging term. The committmeent to ensuring the learning journey of our students continued, as affectively as possible, has been outstanding.
We certainly have an amazing team of educators looking after your children. They greatly appreciate the positive feedback you have provided them with this term.
Currently there is no update on when schools will return to face to face. From all reports there will be an announcement this coming Sunday. I will let all families know during the holidays of any updates I receive.
3/4 Camp
Unfortunately we have had to cancel the Yr 3/4 camp to Sovereign Hill as they are not taking any bookings for the month of October. We are exploring other possibilities for later on in the year.
Sacraments
There is still no further updates on when the sacraments of Confirmation and Reconciliation will take place. I am in constant contact with Fr John and when restrictions are lifted we will then proceed with celebrating these sacraments. Thank you for your understanding.
Farewell
At the end of this term we farewell Xavier ( Prep) and Esther (Yr 2) who are returning to Adelaide to live. We wish their family all the best. It has been a pleasure having the Verma family at St Bede's.
Footy Day
This Friday is footy day. We will begin the day with an incursion followed by footy activities that Mr Price has organised for us. I hope it's a great way to finish the term. Good luck to Melbourne and Western Bulldogs who will be competing in the AFL grand final. I know there are some very anxious and excited families in our community.
Graduation
The graduation committee has been meeting during the second half of this term. They have explored all options regarding the format for the evening. They will communicate this to our Yr 6 parents shortly. Keep an eye out for emails!!
